The New South organization publishes two literary journals:
New South: This graduate student-edited journal features fiction, nonfiction, poetry, essays, portfolios and book reviews from across the United States. In addition to running an annual contest and publishing two issues a year, New South also stages student readings on- and off-campus and features a select number of outside readers.
Underground: Making its debut in 2011, Underground is edited by Georgia State University undergraduates and exclusively features work from the student community.
Where Can I Find New South?
New South and Underground are each published twice a year. They are free for Georgia State University students and are distributed across campus. If you cannot locate a copy on the Georgia State campus, please visit the New South offices located on the 9th floor of the University Center, Room 946.
