Want to keep up with campus news and events on your cell phone? There’s an app for that.

The Georgia State community will learn about the new Student Media mobile app, DMGATL, at a virtual ribbon-cutting and launch party from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 18 in the Court Salon ballroom in Student Center East.

Students are invited to nosh on free food and drink at the launch event where student media leaders will discuss the new app’s features and discuss projects on tap for 2017.

The DMGATL app is free for download and is available for Android and iPhones at the Google Play Store and at the Apple Store.

I’m proud of the work the students have put into the project. We’re encouraging students to download the app to stay in touch with student news and events.

~ Bryce McNeil, assistant director for Student Media

The mobile app has been designed to be a one stop shop for students wanting to take in Georgia State student media. Users can live steam programming on Album 88, watch GSTV video feeds, keep up with breaking news from The Signal and listen to student-produced podcasts. The app also provides shortcuts to online visual content from New South and Underground.

Lauren Booker is the leader of the Digital Media Group and Nicole Motahari is the social media manager. The Digital Media Group’s website will be accessed at http://www.dmgatl.com/ as of January 18.
